  2. Solar Inverters which are electronic devices to invert Direct Current (DC) to Alternative Current (AC) Electricity. There are different types of inverters such as String Inverters, String Inverters with Optimizers and Micro Inverters. It is essential to pick the right inverter type to optimize your solar power system’s output and power production.  You will often hear salesmen try and tell you what is best because that is what they want to sell you.   3. Mounting devices are mechanical equipment to secure the solar power system to your mounting plane. There are variety of mounting types such as roof mount, port mount and ground mount. Each one of these has its own application and you can click HERE to learn more about them.
  4. Balance of the system which consists of Wire, Cable, Conduit, DC Disconnect and the Breaker. This equipment provides the connectivity of the system as well as the required protection for the system and their are a number of various method and details in each county.  So there are indeed differences with system configuration allowances and load balances from County to County and even within the same county with different Utility Companies may exist.   5. Smart Meters are not part of the solar power system but they are necessary to connect your system to the utility grid.  Going solar make it run backwards!
